Great Southern Killarney

Charming, historic hotel located in the heart of Killarney which was within walking distance of restaurants, shops and pubs. Evelyn, who was the Events Coordinator was fabulous and gave us great recommendations for things that fit into our itinerary. The staff were super friendly and attentive and made us feel at home. We loved hanging out in the beautiful spacious lobby lounge and sampling drinks at the wine bar. The rooms were large,quaint and comfortable. We loved it so much we decided to return later in the trip. we highly recommend staying here.

Where to start? The most gorgeous hotel in the most perfect location for visiting Killarney. The hotel is near the main bus/train station but has ample parking as well. We ended up booking this hotel last minute after a disaster of a day with our other booking and what an absolute amazing find, and thankful for the stress! The wonderful reception gave us an unexpected upgrade which meant so much to us after the day we had (they didn't even know!) which meant we had the most relaxing couple of days. Would recommend hands down, and thank you :)

Breakfast was very good. I like the shower design, although a little dated, good thought had gone into having the controls accesible from outside the shower meaning water gets to temp before you step in.

Everything. The best staff I have ever come across in a hotel. From reception to the bar to the spa the staff were amazing. Special mention to Bethany and Yohan in brownes bar and to Christine in the spa. The decor, the grounds, the room and bathroom and the location are perfect. The food and drinks amazing. Spotlessly clean. Will definitely be returning. Keep up the amazing work
